Paying Terminated Employees in South Dakota

In South Dakota, whenever an employee who does not have a written contract for a definite period quits, resigns, or is discharged, wages are payable not later than the next regular stated payday or whenever the employee returns all property of the employer in the employee's possession. Striking employees must be paid on the next regular payday.
