Paying Terminated Employees in New Jersey

In New Jersey, in cases of discharge, layoff, quit, or termination for any reason, the employer must pay all wages due not later than the next regular payday. An additional 10 days may be allowed in the event of a labor dispute involving payroll employees. Payment may be made through regular channels or by mail if requested.
